By downloading, installing or using the Categorico app, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Description of the service

Categorico is a categories word game that includes:

• Quick game (solo) - 60 seconds on the clock, with a random letter and category each round. A correct answer earns 10 points and 5 extra seconds, and a wrong answer does not reduce time.
• Classic 1v1 - three real-time rounds against a random opponent or a friend, with six categories and 90 seconds each round. A unique answer is worth 10 points and a shared answer is worth 5.
• Duel - a fast turn-by-turn match on a single letter. The first player who cannot answer in time loses.
• Party - a room of up to 8 players over three rounds, with an original answer worth double a shared one.

User account

• An account is created automatically from your device identifier - no email or password sign-up is required.
• One account per device.
• The default display name is "New Player" and can be changed at any time.
• You can link a Google Play Games or Apple Game Center account to recover your account on another device.
• Linking a games account to a new device transfers the account from the old device.
• You are responsible for the security of your device and for any activity carried out from your account.

Rules of conduct

• Offensive, racist, sexual or threatening display names are prohibited.
• Using automated tools, bots or third-party software is prohibited.
• Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities or errors in the game is prohibited. If you find a bug, we would appreciate a report.
• Fair play only - attempting to cheat or exploit the system may lead to suspension.
• Colluding with opponents to inflate results is prohibited.

In-app purchases

• You can buy coins and cosmetic items in the app.
• Founder Pack - a one-time purchase that includes special perks.
• Coin packs - consumable purchases that can be bought again.
• Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on the platform.
• Coins and virtual items have no real monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or directly refunded.
• Refund policy - subject to Apple's or Google's policies only.
• We reserve the right to change prices, availability and product contents at any time.

Energy and ads

• The game includes an energy system - energy is needed to play games.
• You can watch rewarded ads to earn coins or energy.
• Ad content is provided by third parties (Google AdMob) and we are not responsible for it.
• The number of ad views is limited per day.

Intellectual property

• The app, its design, code and content are the property of the developer.
• The word dictionary was curated and built by the developer.
• Trademarks, logo and design are owned by the developer.
• You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use of the app only.

Limitation of liability

• The service is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind.
• We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability of the service.
• We are not responsible for loss of data, game progress or virtual coins.
• We are not responsible for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the app.
• We are not responsible for third-party ad content.

Suspension and termination

• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.
• Suspending or closing an account may include the loss of coins, items and progress.
• You may stop using the app at any time.
• After an account is closed, data is deleted in line with the privacy policy.

Updates and changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be published in the app. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from use of the app.
